Special Education Law and Advocacy Training specific to Dyslexia

A day-long, hands-on special education workshop designed to meet the needs of parents and professionals serving children and teens with disabilities. **This program is specific to dyslexia.
Who should attend: Parents, educators, health care providers, advocates and attorneys.
Location: University of San Diego, 5998 Alcala Park, San Diego, CA 92110
Registration Includes: Three texts (Wrightslaw Special Education Law, 2nd Ed.; Wrightslaw: From Emotions to Advocacy & Wrightslaw: All About IEPs - a $60 value) Meals and parking
Topics: IDEA history & overview, special education & related services, child find, least restrictive environment, extended school year, mainstream/inclusion, understanding tests & assessments, procedural safeguards, Section 504, prior written notice, and IEPs as it relates to dyslexia.
